Capa Jesus Transforma Água em Vinho

Topic: The Miracles of Jesus

Jesus said to them, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim. John 2:7

The objective is to make them see that Jesus values the family and that the presence of the Holy Spirit is the main blessing that cannot be missed in our lives, preparing us for the rapture.

Introduction

Do you like being with your family? It’s great when everyone is together and happy. Jesus also likes our family! The first miracle He performed happened at a wedding. Today we will learn that Jesus can bring joy to our home and that there is a very special blessing that can never be missing from our hearts.

Development

The Bible tells us that on the third day, there was a wedding in Cana of Galilee. Jesus and His disciples were invited to the celebration. In those days, weddings were joyful festivities. But a problem arose: the wine ran out. The family was very worried. Jesus saw what was happening, so He started His work. Nearby stood six stone waterpots—large vessels used for storing water. Jesus told the servants, “Fill the waterpots with water.” And they filled them up to the brim (John 2:7b).

The servants obeyed. Then Jesus said, “Draw some out now, and take it to the master of the feast,” and they took it (John 2:8b). The miracle happened! The water was turned into wine (John 2:11). Jesus chose a family for His first miracle. This shows us that Jesus loves our family!

At that wedding, the wine ran out. Spiritually, wine represents the joy and blessing of the Holy Spirit. Just as that family could not run out of wine, we cannot afford to be without the presence of the Holy Spirit in our hearts. Jesus commanded that the waterpots be filled with water. The waterpots represent our hearts. Just as those waterpots were filled, Jesus wants to fill our hearts with the presence of the Holy Spirit.

When the Holy Spirit dwells in our hearts, He helps us do what pleases God. He teaches us to obey our mom and dad, share our toys, tell the truth, avoid throwing tantrums, treat our friends kindly, and love hearing God’s Word. Sometimes, a child wants to play all the time and forgets to pray or pay attention in Sunday Bible School. But the Lord wants us to set aside time every day to talk to Him, sing praises, and learn more from His Word.

Conclusion

Jesus wants to fill our hearts with the presence of the Holy Spirit. When the Holy Spirit is with us, we feel joy in praying, hearing the Word of God, obeying our parents, loving our brethren and doing what pleases the Lord. Today, Jesus wants to fill your heart with the Holy Spirit. Jesus will come to rapture His Church, the servants filled with the Holy Spirit.
